London-based Optimo Energy raises £1.7m seed round for EV fleet software

An estimated £1.7m seed round has been secured by Optimo Energy Limited to expand its cloud-based Energy Operating System. The London-based company, which was incorporated in 2024, develops software that controls and optimises electric vehicle depot charging for UK bus operators and logistics firms.
The platform allows managers to coordinate battery storage and on-site solar generation while linked to the GB power network. By responding to grid signals, users can avoid peak electricity charges and unlock flexibility revenue opportunities while ensuring vehicles stay within connection limits and are ready for scheduled operations.
LinkedIn data shows the company currently has a team of eight employees. This investment marks the total capital raised by the business during 2026, following the period covered by its latest accounts made up to 30 June 2025.
The funding round involved a share allotment in February, the same month Andras Tessenyi, Márton Balázs Tóth, and Zsolt Weiszbart were appointed as directors. Formal documentation was filed in March.
