Innotive Diagnostics raises £1m for AI-enabled UTI testing system

Rapid identification of bacterial organisms and antibiotic susceptibility is the focus of Innotive Diagnostics, which has just secured an estimated £1m in new funding. Based in Bath, the company develops a cartridge-based, AI-enabled point-of-care diagnostic system specifically for urinary tract infections (UTIs).

The technology is designed to deliver results within 60 minutes, allowing clinicians to move away from broad-spectrum prescriptions toward targeted antibiotic treatment. This approach aims to improve antimicrobial stewardship and reduce healthcare costs associated with UTIs, which the company estimates at $44bn annually in the US alone.

This latest round values Innotive Diagnostics at an estimated £19.1m. The company has been active in the capital markets over the past 18 months, completing multiple smaller funding rounds. In January 2026, it raised £120k at a £7.4m valuation. This followed a period in late 2025 where the company secured several tranches of investment, including £129k and £264k in December, £301k in November, and three separate allotments in October totaling over £740k. During that period, valuations sat between £5m and £7.4m.

The current valuation remains below the company peak of £26.8m recorded in April 2025 following a £500.4k raise. Earlier that year, in January 2025, the firm was valued at £25.7m after securing £271.2k.

Founded in 2019, Innotive Diagnostics reported 29 employees in its accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025. The company operates from its headquarters in Bath, focusing on the development of life science tools and medical devices for rapid diagnostics.
