Shipston-On-Stour based spirits producer The Cotswold Distilling Company Limited has raised £137.2k in its latest Series C+ funding round. Operating as the Cotswolds Distillery, the business manufactures single malt whisky, gin, and liqueurs for the UK and international markets.
The company was incorporated in 2013 and focuses on consumers with an affinity for English heritage, specifically targeting younger whisky drinkers. Financial accounts for the year ending 31 December 2024 show the distillery generated £6.9m in revenue. The business reported a £2.4m loss for the same period and maintained a headcount of 55 employees.
This May 2026 allotment follows a series of capital injections over the last decade. The company previously raised £124k in January 2025 and £5.8m in April 2023. Earlier Series C+ activity includes a £260k round in February 2021, which carried a £1.6m valuation, and a £20k round in June 2020 at a £270k valuation. Other significant historical funding includes £1.4m in March 2020, £1.2m in May 2019, and £1.3m in April 2017.
The distillery uses these funds to support its production of English spirits and its expansion into global markets. The latest filings (allotted and filed in May 2026) do not specify a new post-money valuation for this specific £137.2k tranche.
