Rheya Labs raises £22.5m to combat sewage discharges with battery technology

Operating in the sector of other research and experimental development on natural sciences and engineering, Rheya Labs Limited focuses on preventing illegal sewage discharges at pumping stations. The Bury St. Edmunds company retrofits battery hardware to maintain operations during power failures. This latest funding round involved an estimated £22.5m investment, resulting in a post-money valuation of approximately £45m.
In addition, the business provides an artificial intelligence platform that analyzes power and flow data to detect network blockages and optimize energy costs for water utilities.
The firm was incorporated in January and has reached a total of £30.5m in funding raised during 2026. This figure includes the current round, which saw shares allotted in April (with the corresponding regulatory filings completed in June).
