Published
A capital injection of £3.1m has been secured by Advanced Material Development Limited to scale its proprietary 2D nanomaterial technology. This values the entity at an estimated £34.7m on a post-money basis.
Farnborough is the headquarters for the firm, which was founded in 2017 to develop graphene inks and emulsions for industrial applications. These include advanced sensors, functional coatings, and anti-counterfeiting measures for the automotive, aerospace, defense, and life sciences sectors. Specialised platforms include nHance, a printable functional system, and nLight, which is a polymeric photonic crystal platform. These solutions are designed to address complex challenges in healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and security.
Licensing, joint development, and long-term commercial partnerships with global industrial partners and original equipment manufacturers form the core operating model. While its latest accounts for the period ending 31 July 2025 showed 9 employees, LinkedIn data lists a headcount of 16.
It reported £2m in funding for 2026 and £475.2k during the prior year. Andrew Mark Hamilton and Dr. Izabela Jurewicz joined the board following an allotment in June.
