NATO Innovation Fund joins Portal Biotech cap table as new shareholder

Portal Biotech Limited, a Guildford-based biotechnology firm founded in 2021, develops protein sequencing instruments and cell engineering platforms for healthcare and research applications. The company's latest confirmation statement, for the period ending 29 March 2026, shows several new investors joining the cap table.
NATO Innovation Fund SCSP SICAV-SIF is the largest new entrant, holding 38,306 Series A1 Preferred shares. Other new shareholders include Earlybird Health II Fund GmbH & Co. KG with 20,749 shares and SCVC SPV Limited with 19,924 shares. Earlybird Health II Fund also backs Prothea Technologies Limited and Grey Wolf Therapeutics Limited. British Business Investments Ltd joined with 12,162 shares and is a shareholder in Chemify Limited. Werfen S.A. took a stake of 10,088 shares, adding to a portfolio that includes Osler Diagnostics Limited and Oxford Cancer Analytics Ltd.
Science Creates Ventures 2A LP and 2B LP joined with a combined 5,368 shares; they also back Scarlet Therapeutics Limited and Delta G Limited. WS Investment Company, LLC (320 shares) and Outsized Ventures UK GP Limited (203 shares) also joined the register. WS Investment Company, LLC is a shareholder in Biomodal Limited, while Outsized Ventures UK GP Limited backs Hoxton Farms Ltd. Existing investors 8VC Fund IV, L.P. and 8VC Entrepreneurs Fund IV, L.P. both increased their holdings by 31 percent. These investors join existing shareholders such as KCP Nominees Ltd and Pillar III-A, L.P. The arrival of multiple institutional investors may signal a recent funding round.
