Sports tech startup Find A Player raises £100k

An estimated £100k investment has been secured by Find A Player at a post-money valuation of £5.1m. Based in Edinburgh, the company provides a cross-platform smartphone application that connects individual players with clubs and games on a local basis for grassroots sports across more than 140 different sports.

Founded in 2013, the business addresses logistical challenges through features for event administration and team management. Its software is designed to simplify game organization through in-app automation for sports organizations while providing tools for athlete recruitment.

Financial records for the year ended 30 September 2024 show the company employed seven people. LinkedIn data indicates a current headcount of six staff members for the business.

The company operates the findaplayer.com website. This latest funding round follows an allotment of shares in February (filed in June).
