Cambridge animal health firm The Vaccine Group raises £270k

Protecting livestock from infectious diseases is the primary objective of The Vaccine Group Limited, which has just secured £270k in new investment. Based in Cambridge, the company develops herpesvirus-based vaccines to serve the global veterinary and animal health market by preventing the spread of pathogens.

This latest funding round values the business at an estimated £1.8m. The firm was incorporated in 2017 to commercialize a specialized platform designed to provide a robust immune response in animals.

Total funding recorded for the company in 2026 reached £250k. Financial records for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the business maintained a team of nine employees. Documentation for the capital injection was filed in September, following an allotment of shares that occurred in August.
