Spirea Limited is advancing its proprietary ELIVATE linker technology following a new funding round of £195.4k. Based in Harrogate, the biotech company focuses on the development of next-generation Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of cancer and other complex diseases. The ELIVATE platform is designed to enable the creation of multivalent ADCs, which aim to improve the therapeutic index of drugs by delivering higher payloads to target cells while reducing systemic toxicity.

The company was founded in 2015 and has since established a research and development framework targeting oncology, inflammation, and autoimmunity. Spirea seeks to collaborate with pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners to apply its linker technology to various therapeutic modalities, including antibody therapeutics, small molecules, and protein degraders.

This funding (filed in May 2026) follows a series of previous capital raises. The company secured £220k in October 2022 and a £2.4m round in June 2022. Prior to those, it raised £343.2k in November 2020. The valuation for this specific allotment was not disclosed in the recent filing.

Latest accounts for the period ending 31 October 2025 report that the business employs four people. The current round brings the total known funding for the Yorkshire-based firm to approximately £3.15m. These funds support the ongoing development of the ELIVATE platform as the company moves toward further partnership agreements within the global biotech sector.
