Frontline staff management is the focus of Sona Technologies Ltd, which has just raised an estimated £2.3m in a Series B funding round. The London-based company develops an AI-enhanced application that unifies scheduling, time-recording, HR, and payroll into a single platform. These tools are specifically designed for organisations with large non-desk workforces, such as those in the retail and hospitality industries.
Founded in 2021, the business aims to provide employee-empowerment solutions for workers who do not operate from a traditional office environment. Funding activity for the firm has reached a total of £33.3m during 2026. This follows £8.7m in capital secured during the previous year.
The company reported a headcount of 47 employees in its latest accounts for the period ending 31 January 2025. The transaction involved a share allotment in July, with the corresponding paperwork filed during August.
