Anvil, an SEO platform that shows users how brands appear in large language models such as ChatGPT to help them get found more often, has secured an estimated £8.4m in new funding. Based in London, the company operates as a holding entity for a group of subsidiary corporations and is classified within the software development industry. It does not directly trade in goods or services or actively manage the businesses in which it holds equity.
The business currently lists zero employees on its LinkedIn profile. This funding round follows an allotment of shares in August, with formal documentation filed in September 2026.
Recent board appointments include Robert Craig Lynn and Steven Barry Main, both of whom joined the company in July, the same month as its incorporation. LinkedIn data suggests Main may be a co-founder, investor, and CEO, while Lynn is possibly associated with the private equity sector and holds a CFA designation.
