Remephy Technologies raises £56k for metal-recovering plant technology

An estimated £56k has been raised by Remephy Technologies Ltd in its latest funding round. The Harpenden, Hertfordshire-based startup develops metal-hyperaccumulating plants combined with symbiotic bacteria to phytoremediate heavy-metal-contaminated soils. This process allows for the simultaneous recovery of metals, creating a circular remediation solution for the mining industry, agriculture, and land-restoration projects.
The company was incorporated in 2024. This recent capital injection brings the total funding raised in 2026 to £298k, following a prior year aggregate of £173.8k in 2025.
According to its latest accounts for the year ended 31 July 2025, the business employed two people. The documentation for this specific allotment was filed in June 2026, and the shares were allotted during the same month.
