Reclinker secures £7m Series A for low-emission cement and steel co-production

Published

Reclinker Ltd is commercialising an electrically driven cement-recycling process that recovers cement paste from demolition waste. Based in Cambridge, the company uses this recovered material as a flux in electric-arc furnaces to co-produce low-emission clinker and steel. This technology targets cement manufacturers and steel producers aiming to reduce process emissions through a circular economy approach.

The business has raised an estimated £7m in a Series A funding round. Incorporated in 2022, the startup reported nine employees in its latest accounts for the year ended 31 July 2025. More recent LinkedIn data indicates the workforce currently consists of 12 people. Total funding raised by the company during 2026 reaches £6.6m.

Board appointments made in June 2026 include Alexis Garavel, Philippa Maia, and Dr Haynes. Stephen Edward Price also joined the board during this period. AI suggests Price may have a professional background as a CFO within the mid-market growth and private equity sectors.
