Deepform secures £2.4m for sustainable manufacturing tool design

Reducing material waste in high-volume manufacturing is the focus of Deepform Limited, which has just secured an estimated £2.4m in new funding. Based in Cambridge, the company designs patented sheet-metal pressing tools that lower embodied carbon dioxide emissions while maintaining production speed and quality. Its solutions are targeted at industrial equipment providers and the automotive, heavy-vehicle, and metal packaging sectors.

The business was incorporated in 2022 to commercialize a method for reducing trimming scrap during industrial production. This process was originally invented at the University of Cambridge, and the firm now operates as the exclusive worldwide provider of the patent-pending technique.

Documentation filed in August confirms this is the only capital injection for the business this year. While accounts for the year ending 31 March 2026 listed 14 employees, current figures from LinkedIn indicate the workforce has increased to 19 people.
