Recirculate Systems secures £221.9k for deposit-return software

Software that integrates deposit-return functionality directly into existing payment infrastructures is the core product of Recirculate Systems Limited. The Bury St. Edmunds-based company has raised £221.9k in its latest funding round, resulting in an estimated post-money valuation of £5.3m.

Incorporated in 2021, the business enables automatic, app-free refunds for reusable items such as cups and containers. Its technology targets high-volume environments including stadiums, cafes, and music venues to eliminate single-use waste and support compliance with circular economy regulations.

Financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2025 report a £680.5k loss. During that period, the firm maintained a headcount of four employees.

This most recent capital injection (allotted August 2026) contributes to a total of £370.3k raised so far in 2026. This follows a cumulative funding total of £552.8k secured during 2025. The formal documentation for the current round was filed in September 2026.
