High Wycombe sports tech startup Opnplay secures £250k for athlete management platform

Professional sports organizations, athletes, scouts, and club administrators are the primary users of Opnplay Limited, a High Wycombe-based business and domestic software developer that has raised an estimated £250k in its latest funding round. The company provides a cloud-based athlete management platform consisting of an intuitive dashboard and the OPN app.

These digital tools allow users to manage player data and daily operations through digital athlete passports. The system also includes a transfer marketplace designed to facilitate recruitment.

Incorporated in 2024, the business has now secured a total of £525k throughout 2026. This follows a total of £250k raised during the 2025 calendar year.

LinkedIn records show the company currently operates with a team of seven employees. Its most recent financial accounts cover the year ended 30 September 2025. This latest round involved a share allotment in May, with the corresponding documentation filed during September.
