Worthing-based Gofathom raises £20k for youth sports coaching platform

Providing a mobile and web platform for youth sports coaches, Worthing-based Gofathom Ltd has raised an estimated £20k in new funding. This round brings the company to a post-money valuation of approximately £1.8m. The service allows instructors to share structured feedback with athletes and parents via voice, photo, video, and text.

Founded in 2022, the startup aims to prevent coaching insights from being forgotten by providing a searchable timeline for continuous player development beyond the session. The software is structured around five core pillars: feedback delivery, player reflection, wellbeing monitoring, performance assessment, and coach engagement tracking. It targets youth sports organisations, schools, clubs, and private instructors across multiple sports.

The company has raised a total of £194.9k during 2026. While LinkedIn profiles indicate a team of five employees, the firm reported a headcount of one in its latest accounts for the year ended 30 November 2025.

Built with safeguarding at its core, the application uses a structured communication channel to replace personal messaging between coaches and minors. Documentation for this latest allotment was filed in September 2026.
