Interstellar Space Technologies secures £30k for orbital manufacturing

Manufacturing high-performance materials like next-generation semiconductors and pharmaceuticals in Low Earth Orbit is the core focus of London-based Interstellar Space Technologies Ltd. The company recently secured an estimated £30k in new funding, resulting in an estimated post-money valuation of £795k.
Incorporated in 2022, the startup addresses the limitations of terrestrial manufacturing by developing autonomous, space-based factories. These facilities produce materials superior to those made on Earth while also identifying and repurposing defunct space materials to create sustainable space infrastructure. Financial records for the year ended 30 April 2025 show the business operated with a single employee, though more recent data indicates the team has grown to three people.
This latest capital injection brings the total funding raised throughout 2026 to £52.5k (allotted in June). Interstellar Space Technologies has previously received support from the UK Space Agency Explore Programme and UCL Innovation & Enterprise. The firm aims to use its technology to provide wider access to orbital environments and support space-for-space construction.
