An estimated £147.3m has been raised by Kraken Technology Group to support the development of modular autonomous maritime platforms for defence, security, and commercial maritime applications. Based in Putney, the company designs, manufactures, and supplies these high performance, dual use vessels for military forces, border security agencies, and offshore energy operators requiring specialized maritime technology.
The business was incorporated in 2020 to address specific hardware requirements for maritime users. The company has recorded a total of £135.5m in funding across the 2026 calendar year.
Ole Aguirre was appointed as a director in July, a figure whom LinkedIn suggests may be a Partner at an unverified firm. Formal documentation for the share allotment was filed in August, with the allotment itself occurring earlier that month. The company most recently published financial accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024.
