Fairground Music secures £125k to expand independent music marketplace

Independent artists, fans, venues, curators, labels, and promoters can discover new tracks and coordinate live events through the Fairground iPad application. Its developer, Braintree-based Fairground Music Limited, has raised an estimated £125k in a recent funding round, resulting in an estimated post-money valuation of £2.9m.
The platform serves as a marketplace for the independent sector, allowing users to engage with underground scenes. This software aims to provide a unified ecosystem for a community often fragmented across different social and professional networks.
Incorporated in January 2025, the startup has now secured a total of £379.5k in funding during 2026. Financial records for the year ending 31 December 2025 listed a headcount of three employees, though more recent data from the company's LinkedIn profile indicates the team has grown to seven people. This latest capital injection follows an allotment of shares completed in June (with formal documentation filed in July).
