Oxford-based Ckanta raises £261k for its e-bike conversion kit

Oxford-based Ckanta Ltd, which has just raised an estimated £261k, designs the Universal Bicycle Assist Kit, a removable system that converts standard pedal bikes into electrically assisted versions. This funding round values the business at £904k and supports the marketing of its tool-free product.

Incorporated in 2022, the startup operates in the transport equipment manufacturing sector and targets everyday cyclists and bike commuters who require a lightweight and interchangeable solution for power assistance. Financial records for the year ending 31 March 2025 show the firm operated with a single employee.

This latest injection brings the total capital raised in 2026 to £250k, following £308k secured during 2025. Georgy Dzavaryan joined the board as a director in July (allotment date), with the formal documentation filed in September.
