Fractile raises £225.4m for AI chip development

Newbury-based Fractile Ltd has secured an estimated £225.4m in new capital. The company designs and manufactures advanced hardware specifically engineered to accelerate the execution of large artificial intelligence models.
These high-performance compute solutions target data-center and enterprise customers looking to remove existing bottlenecks in complex workloads. By improving efficiency, the technology enables more scalable inference and training processes.
Incorporated in 2022, the firm has significantly increased its capital intake compared to the £340k raised during 2025. Latest accounts for the period ending 31 December of that year reveal a £4.7m loss.
The business grew its workforce to 40 employees during that financial year. Formal documentation for this funding round was filed in May 2026, following a share allotment that took place during the same month.
