Oxford Quantum Circuits secures £260.8m in Series C+ funding

Oxford Quantum Circuits Limited, a Reading-based firm incorporated in 2017, has raised an estimated £260.8m in a Series C+ round. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of superconducting quantum computers, which are delivered to enterprise customers through a cloud-based Quantum-Compute-as-a-Service platform.

The hardware utilizes a proprietary 3-D architecture to provide commercial-grade quantum acceleration. It features a reported two-qubit gate speed of 25 nanoseconds, currently the fastest recorded. These systems are designed for use in sectors including advanced materials, pharmaceuticals, finance, and national security.

Latest financial accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the business generated £338.9k in revenue. During this twelve-month period, the company recorded a £19.2m loss and maintained a workforce of 133 employees.

Formal documentation for this capital injection was filed in July 2026. The transaction, which carried an allotment date in the same month, accounts for the entirety of the funding raised by the business during the current calendar year.
