Epsom-based Auris Tech secures £305k for speech recognition platform

The Fonetti platform developer, Auris Tech Limited, has raised an estimated £305.1k in a funding round that values the business at £4.9m. Based in Epsom, the company creates patented automatic speech recognition technology designed to provide instant feedback on reading aloud. Its software is utilized by schools, parents, and policymakers, as well as within English as a Second Language (ESL) and adult literacy programs.
Incorporated in 2015, the firm operates within the business and domestic software development sector. Financial records for the year ending 30 November 2024 show the company employed seven people. This latest investment brings the total capital raised during 2026 to £315.3k, following the £282.5k secured throughout 2025.
The funding round involved an allotment of shares in March, with the corresponding paperwork filed in July. The technology also tracks fluency, accuracy, hesitation, and mispronunciation, supporting other education-focused users such as those in immigration programmes.
