Mobile robots can now utilize persistent operational memory for self-directed navigation following an estimated £175.3m funding round for Stateful Robotics Ltd. Headquartered in Oxford, the company develops decision-intelligence software designed for machines operating in dynamic, real-world environments. Its technology allows organisations to define specific missions and continuously improve the performance of deployed hardware.
The firm was incorporated in July 2025 as a spin-out from the university where the founding team spent more than a decade working on diverse autonomous systems. Their research history includes self-driving cars, underwater vehicles, and quadrupedal machines. These applications now target sectors such as energy, infrastructure, healthcare, logistics, construction, and agriculture.
This current investment follows £3.5m raised during the previous calendar year. The business, which maintains a workforce of 11 employees, filed documentation for the new capital in July (allotment date July 2026). Its digital presence is maintained at statefulrobotics.com.
