Industrial production lines facing downtime can now source traceable hardware through a digital spare parts platform developed by Addparts Ltd. The Sheffield-based company recently secured an estimated £327k in new funding. This capital supports a service that utilizes industrial 3D printing to manufacture on-demand replacement components for regulated manufacturers, specifically within the pharmaceutical sector.
Founded in 2024, the business addresses the risk of production-critical spare parts by offering reverse engineering and rapid replacement of critical spares. Its digital storeroom captures engineering knowledge and documentation to ensure items are accessible before equipment failure occurs. The platform utilizes an on-demand manufacturing model for change parts and medical devices, employing Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to improve component performance.
LinkedIn data indicates the firm currently employs seven people within the machinery manufacturing industry. The latest investment follows an allotment of shares (February 2026), with formal documentation filed more recently (July 2026). Financial records for the year ended 31 March 2025 have been prepared for the company, which describes itself as a production continuity partner and maintains a digital presence at addparts.co.uk.
