Umazi secures £47.9k to automate corporate identity verification

London-based Umazi Ltd has secured an estimated £47.9k in fresh funding. The company operates a cloud-based platform that generates a single, verifiable business profile known as Co.ID. This service aggregates information from sources including Companies House, global identifiers, and beneficial ownership registers to help businesses share identity details with banks, suppliers, and investors.
Founded in 2020, the firm aims to reduce the administrative burden of compliance by replacing repetitive manual checks with reusable, automatically updated records. Users maintain control over who can view or download their specific information through the platform, which is accessible via umazi.io.
The latest investment brings the total capital raised in 2025 to £685.9k. According to filings for the year ended 31 December 2024, the business employed four people, though LinkedIn indicates a current headcount of 11 staff within the financial services industry. This funding round follows an allotment of shares that took place in December of that year, with documentation filed in July.
