London solar subscription startup Sunsave secures £2.2m seed funding

Sunsave Plus provides a subscription service that removes the upfront costs of installing solar panels and battery storage for residential and commercial customers. The London-based company, Sunsave Group Ltd, has secured a £2.2m seed round, which follows a total of £13m raised across 2025.

Founded in 2021, the business provides financing alongside design, installation, and monitoring. Customers using the platform can sell excess electricity back to the grid while receiving ongoing maintenance for their rooftop hardware.

Financial records for the year ending 31 December 2024 show the company employed 7 people at that time. More recent data from LinkedIn indicates the workforce has since grown to 73 employees. The business is also recognized as a Which Trusted Trader within the renewable energy sector.

The documentation for this latest capital injection was filed in September (allotment date in July).
