A cultural app that uses image recognition and augmented reality has secured an estimated £600k seed round. London-based Smartify Holdings Ltd provides the platform to deliver audio guides and artwork information to help museum visitors discover and enjoy art.
Founded in 2019, the startup addresses the need for accessible, engaging digital experiences within global cultural organisations. Its technology includes multimedia content development and heritage interpretation tools designed to strengthen the financial resilience of galleries.
The current investment follows a £50k raise in 2025. While accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024 listed three employees, the company's social media profile indicates a team of 37 staff members.
Documentation for the round was filed in September 2026. The business provides content and technology advice alongside its consumer and enterprise software applications.
