Seagreen Wind Energy secures £630k for offshore wind operations

Generating renewable electricity for the UK grid, Seagreen Wind Energy Limited has raised an estimated £630k in its most recent funding round. The Reading-based company develops, constructs, and operates offshore wind farms, focusing on the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm project to provide green energy to homes in Scotland and across the UK.

Founded in 2009, the company reported revenue of £300.2m for the financial year ending 31 March 2025. During this period, the business recorded a £47.1m loss. LinkedIn data indicates the company currently operates with a team of five employees.

This latest £630k capital injection follows several funding rounds over the past three years. The company previously raised £700k in January 2026 and £280k in October 2025. Earlier in 2025, Seagreen Wind Energy secured two separate rounds of £1.7m in March and May. These follow a larger £9.5m funding round completed in October 2023.

The company is headquartered at 55 Vastern Road in Reading and focuses on the production of electricity through renewable offshore sources. Documentation for this latest allotment was filed in May 2026. The company's primary service involves the generation of green energy for the electricity grid to support domestic power requirements. The company maintains its corporate headquarters in Reading while its operational focus remains on the Scottish offshore sector.
