Quantum Motion Technologies raises £31.1m for silicon quantum computing

Silicon-based quantum computing developer Quantum Motion Technologies Limited has raised an estimated £31.1m in a Series C+ round. The London-based company focuses on creating full-stack hardware using standard CMOS semiconductor processes.

The technology stack includes spin-qubit processors, integrated control electronics, and software designed for deployment in standard data centers. These systems are intended for use across several sectors, including quantum chemistry, medicine, artificial intelligence, drug discovery, materials science, and finance.

Incorporated in 2017, the firm aims to solve computational limitations by creating scalable arrays of qubits. This latest investment brings the total capital raised by the business during 2026 to £115.7m. Financial records for the year ended 31 December 2024 show the company had a workforce of 59 employees (with formal documentation for the current round filed in September 2026).
