Ogi Bio secures £301k for microbial bioreactor technology

Microbial research and development efficiency is the core focus of Ogi Bio, which has secured an estimated £301k in its latest funding round. The Edinburgh-based Scottish biotechnology company produces advanced bioreactors and automated systems used to improve the precision of microbial growth analysis.

Incorporated in 2020, the firm operates within the sector for manufacturing instruments for measuring, testing, and navigation. It provides technology to biotech and microbiology companies, academic research laboratories, and commercial clients in fields such as food manufacturing, health and beauty, and the development of green alternatives to petrochemicals.

The new capital brings the total funding raised by the business in 2026 to £818.6k. This follows a prior year of investment in 2025, during which it secured £1.4m.
