An estimated £1.7m has been raised by New River Books Limited, a London-based publishing house. This investment brings the company to an estimated post-money valuation of £3.6m. Founded in 2022, the business focuses on high-end health, science, and lifestyle titles designed to influence cultural conversations. Its output spans a wide range of formats, including architectural drawings, religious tracts, maps, encyclopaedias, and audiobooks.
Documentation filed recently (September) indicates that Macmillan Publishers International Limited became a person with significant control (August). The corporate entity now holds between 25 percent and 50 percent of the company's shares and voting rights. This shift in ownership coincided with the appointment of Joanna Melancy Lyndon Prior as a director.
The business reported a headcount of three staff members in its latest accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024. More recent data from LinkedIn suggests the workforce has since increased to four employees. The company also produces technical materials such as engineering drawings, geographical materials, and electronic dictionaries, alongside pamphlets, leaflets, and brochures.
