Bristol biotech spinout Dimension Biotechnologies secures £125k investment

Liquid-biopsy assays that analyze the biochemistry of the endothelial glycocalyx are being developed by Dimension Biotechnologies to assess microvascular health and disease. The Bristol-based company provides these diagnostic tools to clinicians, hospitals, and scientific researchers who require routine, non-invasive monitoring.
This latest funding round of £125k results in an estimated post-money valuation of £1.5m for the firm. This follows a previous year of fundraising during which £324.9k was secured. The business operates as a spinout from the University of Bristol, having been incorporated in 2024 to serve drug developers and patients.
While latest accounts for the year ended 31 July 2025 listed only one employee, current figures suggest the team has expanded to three people. This enterprise operates within the biotechnology research field. Formal documentation for the recent share allotment was filed and closed in June (2026).
