Published

Mechanical and Electrical engineering practice Calmor Consulting has raised an estimated £477k in its latest funding round. The investment values the Dungiven-based parent company, Calmor Holdings Limited, at approximately £5.2m. Operating across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, the firm provides specialist design services for sectors including pharmaceuticals, data centres, commercial projects, and retail.

Incorporated in March, the business addresses complex technical requirements through services such as MV power and control design, earthing design, low voltage power distribution, and switchgear design. Capabilities also cover lighting services, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, alongside refrigeration and chilled water solutions. The practice also utilizes Building Information Modelling (BIM) for clash avoidance in large-scale projects.

The business currently employs nine people at its headquarters in Derry/Londonderry. Its operational remit extends to life safety systems, emergency lighting, fire detection, smoke extraction, and gas suppression. Additional specialisms include PA/VA and voice evacuation systems, drainage systems, process instrumentation and control, IT communications infrastructure, and security design. This capital injection follows an allotment of shares that took place in July 2026 (with formal documentation filed in August).
