Large-scale 3D metal printing for the automotive, aerospace, and energy sectors is the focus of Liverpool-based Atomik Am Limited, which recently secured an estimated £767k in new funding. The company develops proprietary binder chemistries designed to improve the strength and consistency of printed metal components through binder-jetting additive manufacturing.

Founded in 2022, the business provides a universal binder intended to enhance efficiency in industrial manufacturing processes. Financial records for the year ending 31 December 2025 show the company employed 11 people, while more recent data from LinkedIn indicates a headcount of 12.

This latest capital injection follows a 2025 funding total of £849.9k. The current round was documented in filings during September (following an allotment in July).

Two new directors joined the board in June. Edward John Gerard Smith is possibly linked to Sculptor Capital Management, where he serves as Managing Director and Head of Client Partner Group for Europe. Dr Paul Nicholas Ewing also joined the board; LinkedIn suggests he may hold a technology leadership role at Integrated Shared Services involving the ServiceNow platform. Atomik Am Limited generates revenue through Customer Innovation Projects, technology licensing, and advanced manufacturing consultancy.
