Organic Heat Exchangers secures £433.5k for EnergiVault thermal storage

Industrial and commercial refrigeration users can reduce carbon emissions using the EnergiVault, a phase change thermal energy storage system manufactured by Organic Heat Exchangers Limited. Based in Thornton-Cleveleys, the company produces technology that stores cold energy for large-scale cooling applications. The system allows users to charge storage units with off-peak electricity and discharge it during peak demand periods to lower energy costs.

The business recently secured an estimated £433.5k in new funding, resulting in an estimated post-money valuation of £20.8m. This capital injection follows a total of £477k raised throughout 2025. Documentation for the latest share issue was filed in September (following an allotment in July).

Founded in 2016, the manufacturer reported a headcount of six staff members in its accounts for the year ended 31 August 2025.
