Ask Silver secures £773.8k for fraud protection technology

An AI-powered Scam Checker developed by London-based Ask Silver Limited has been backed by an estimated £773.8k investment. The platform analyzes messages, links, and other digital content to identify potential scam risks for consumers, with a specific focus on protecting the elderly.

The estimated post-money valuation for the business now stands at £10.7m. It has obtained £706.2k so far in 2026, following a £2.6m total raised during 2025.

Founded in 2023, the venture provides a WhatsApp-based tool where users upload a screenshot of suspicious emails or adverts to receive immediate flags on fraudulent elements. Beyond its direct-to-consumer service, the firm collaborates with financial institutions to integrate protection for banking customers.

The startup currently employs 12 people. Its most recent accounts were filed for the year ended 31 October 2024 (with the latest allotment of shares occurring in April and documentation filed in June).
