Ahbstra Engineering Ltd has secured an estimated £275k in new funding to support the development of its atmospheric water generators. The London based company utilizes metal organic framework technology to extract potable water from ambient air, targeting off grid homes and residential developments. Its flagship product, the Ahbstra ARK, is designed to produce up to 500 litres of water per day and is scheduled for commercial launch in 2026.
This latest investment brings the total capital raised by the business in 2026 to £956k. Founded in 2019, the firm focuses on addressing water scarcity through patented molecular chemistry that allows for water independence in arid regions. Beyond water generation, the core engineering has potential applications in large scale carbon capture.
While latest accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 recorded 4 employees, the company currently lists a headcount of 18 on LinkedIn. Documentation for the recent funding round was filed in June 2026, following an allotment of shares in March.
