Automating traffic analysis processes is the focus of Cardiff-based Advidan Limited, which develops AI-powered video processing software for urban planning and smart city applications. The company targets surveying firms, local councils, and property developers seeking to optimize road efficiency through anonymous data collection.
The startup addresses inefficiencies in reactive transport systems that often lead to wasteful or unreliable infrastructure. Founded in 2024, the team uses machine learning, computer vision, and Internet of Things technology to provide real-time information on transit patterns via bespoke sensors.
This latest funding round is estimated at £79k, bringing the entity to an estimated post-money valuation of £1.6m. This follows a total of £304k raised during 2025 and an additional £56k recorded in 2026.
Recent accounts for the year ended 28 February 2026 show the business employs three people. Documentation for the share allotment was filed in June (following an allotment date in December 2025).
