Aeropowder secures £148.9k for feather-based thermal packaging

PluumoPlus, a sustainable thermal packaging material made from surplus feathers, is the core product of Aeropowder Limited, which has recently secured an estimated £148.9k in new funding. This investment values the Northampton-based company at an estimated £5.1m. The startup designed the insulation to replace expanded polystyrene for cold chain logistics. This solution targets several industries, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, meal kit delivery, and grocery e-commerce.
Operating within the manufacturing sector, the business was founded in 2016. Latest financial filings for the year ended 31 May 2025 show the company employed two people. This latest capital injection follows a previous funding total of £110k raised during the prior calendar year. Documentation for the current round was filed in June 2026, following an allotment of shares earlier that same month.
