Bedford metallurgy startup Aeramine secures £50k funding round

Published

An estimated £50k has been raised by Aeramine Limited, bringing the Bedford-based startup to a post-money valuation of approximately £3.7m. Founded in 2021, the company uses a proprietary, low-carbon vacuum metallurgy process to upcycle scrap copper and rare earth metals.

The resulting ultra-high purity materials, including forgings and powders, are supplied to the aerospace, automotive, medical, and renewable energy industries. These components are designed for use in advanced electronics and nuclear fusion projects. This technological approach is intended to align with global net-zero goals.

This latest capital injection follows a £200k funding total recorded in 2025. Financial records for the year ended 28 February 2025 show the business employed two people, though more recent data from LinkedIn indicates the headcount has since grown to four staff members.

Documentation for this share allotment was filed in September 2026.
