Xlinks Limited increases stake as major energy investors exit

Xlinks First Limited, a Billericay-based investment company founded in 2021, has seen a consolidation of its share capital. The company is developing the Morocco-UK Power Project to transmit zero-carbon electricity from solar and wind farms in Morocco to the UK via high-voltage direct current subsea cables. According to its latest confirmation statement (covering the period to 22 May 2026), Xlinks Limited increased its holding by 81,649 shares. The entity now holds 181,649 Ordinary shares, an 82 percent increase from its previous position of 100,000 shares.

This change occurred alongside the exit of several institutional investors. TotalEnergies Renewables UK Limited, which is also a shareholder in Renewable Energy Seagreen Holdco Limited, Ampyr DG UK Assetco1 Limited, and TotalEnergies Renewables R4 Holdco Limited, departed the cap table after previously holding 21,701 Series A Preference shares. Other departures include AFC Equity Investments Ltd, which held 9,228 Series B Preference shares, and Octopus Energy Group Limited, which held 6,980 Series A Preference shares.

Further exits include EFS Lease Holdings LLC, which held 6,475 shares, and Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables Co. Ltd., which held 4,047 shares. Energy 4.0 Ventures GmbH, Dudenhausen Vermögens Verwaltungs GmbH, and Ellwanger Vermögensverwaltung GmbH also moved off the cap table. While CON|ENERGY AG and TAQA Transmission Holding LLC are listed as new entrants, the filing records their current holdings as zero shares. These changes may signal a recent round or internal restructuring.
