Cavero Quantum secures funding for quantum-safe security software
Published
Cavero Quantum develops software-based cryptographic keys designed to protect communications against both current and future quantum attacks. Based in Leeds, the company recently raised an estimated £1.3m through a new share allotment. This funding represents the total capital raised by the business in 2026.
Founded in 2020, the firm addresses security vulnerabilities in constrained devices such as SIM cards and IoT sensors. Its core offerings include a Continuous Trust Verification Protocol and specific products branded as Symmetrikey and Authentikey. These tools are marketed to a range of sectors, including telecommunications, national security agencies, financial services, and government organisations.
While accounts for the year ended 30 April 2025 recorded a headcount of six employees, more recent data from LinkedIn indicates the team has grown to 11 staff members. The documentation for this latest capital injection was filed in June, following an allotment of shares in May.
