V-Nova International raises £6.9m to scale video compression technology

Advanced video compression software developer V-Nova International Ltd has raised an estimated £6.9m in a Series C+ funding round. The London-based company, incorporated in 2011, specializes in the development and licensing of data compression standards such as LCEVC and VC-6.
The technology utilizes artificial intelligence and parallel processing to enhance media delivery across global markets. V-Nova International provides these solutions to sectors including broadcasting, telecommunications, social media, aerospace, and gaming. The software is designed to improve video streaming efficiency and reduce bandwidth requirements without compromising image quality.
This latest capital injection (allotted in March 2026 and filed in April 2026) follows a sequence of Series C+ funding tranches secured over the previous two years. In 2025, the company recorded multiple allotments including £1.1m in March, £4.6m and £41.9k in February, and £675.5k in May. During 2024, V-Nova International raised several amounts including £4m in November, £3.3m in September, £993.5k in June, and two separate allotments in March totaling £3.2m. An additional £620.4k was raised in January 2024.
The £6.9m round represents the largest single allotment in this Series C+ sequence. V-Nova International focuses on addressing the technical challenges of high-resolution video streaming and data transmission. By leveraging AI-driven compression, the company enables operators to provide higher quality video content while optimizing existing network infrastructure. The company operates from its headquarters in London and serves a global client base of media and technology providers.
