Aya Data secures £236k for AI data annotation services

Data annotation specialist Aya Data Ltd has raised £236.2k to expand its machine learning training services. The London-based firm, incorporated in 2021, focuses on creating high-quality training data for computer vision, natural language processing, and 3D data models.
This latest investment follows a £446k round completed in January 2025. The company has a history of frequent, incremental funding rounds. In 2024, it secured £50k in July and £200.3k in June. Earlier records show a June 2023 round of £50.1k at a valuation of £1.7m, which was an increase from the £1.1m valuation recorded in March 2023 when the company raised £100k.
During its first full year of operation in 2022, Aya Data completed three small rounds: £30k in April at an £831.5k valuation, £20k in March at an £805.1k valuation, and £20k in February at a £785.1k valuation. Its first recorded funding was a £30k injection in December 2021 at a valuation of £761.7k.
Aya Data provides end-to-end AI solutions and consulting to businesses in the medical, retail, utilities, and agriculture industries. Its services include data transcription, collection, and annotation engineering. The company builds and optimizes various tools, such as voice bots and AI-powered farm management systems, to help organizations generate value from their data.
Financial accounts for the year ending 31 December 2024 listed three employees. However, current LinkedIn data indicates a significantly larger workforce of 166 people. The company operates from its headquarters in London and serves clients across the geospatial and healthcare sectors.
