TidalSense secures £2.7m for AI respiratory monitoring technology

An estimated £2.7m has been raised by TidalSense, a developer of AI-driven respiratory diagnostic and monitoring devices based in Cambridge. The company, which was incorporated in 2013 and formerly known as Cambridge Respiratory Innovations, creates the CE-marked N-Tidal Diagnose and the N-Tidal Capture remote-monitoring platform.

The patented sensor technology provides insights into lung physiology by sampling CO2 at high accuracy and speed for healthcare providers and patients managing COPD or asthma. Financial records for the year ended 31 December 2024 show a £1.5m loss. During that period, the business employed 20 people, though LinkedIn data currently lists a headcount of 29.

Total funding raised this year reached £2.8m, following a £7.5m total in 2025. Donna Margaret Parr joined the board as a director in June, coinciding with the round's allotment. LinkedIn profiles suggest she may be a Managing Partner at Cross-Border Impact Ventures. The formal documentation for the funding was filed in June 2026.
