Land-based shrimp cultivation specialist Three-sixty Aquaculture Limited has raised £403.1k in a new funding round. The Swansea-based company, incorporated in February 2014, focuses on the design and operation of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). These systems allow for the production of sushi-grade prawns and shrimp on land, bypassing traditional marine-based farming methods.
Three-sixty Aquaculture targets a diverse customer base including UK and European retailers, wholesalers, and the restaurant trade. It also generates revenue by licensing its proprietary RAS technology to other landowners and aquaculture operators. The company currently operates with a team of four employees.
The latest filing, dated 5 May 2026, indicates an allotment of shares on 5 April 2026. This transaction places the company post-money valuation at an estimated £10.4m. This valuation has risen from the £6m figure recorded in December 2024, when the firm raised £725k.
The company has maintained a frequent fundraising schedule over the past two years. In November 2024, it raised £1.7m at a £5.3m valuation. Two months prior, in September 2024, it secured £100k at a £1.9m valuation. A May 2024 round raised £123.7k at a £1.7m valuation. In late 2023, the company closed two rounds in November: one for £200k at a £769.2k valuation and another for £2.7m at a £4.5m valuation.
The business provides its technology and produce to the hospitality and direct consumer markets across the UK and Europe.
