Automating the evaluation of complex student work is the focus of sAInaptic, which has secured an estimated £995.6k in its latest funding round. Based in Cambridge, the company develops an AI-driven platform designed to mark free-form student answers, essays, and scenario-based case studies.
The system also processes reports and multimedia e-portfolios to deliver instant personalised feedback. These features are intended to reduce the marking workload for educators at awarding organisations, schools, training providers, and other education bodies.
Incorporated in 2020, the firm provides its services through API integration or via white-label portals.
A previous investment of £50k was raised in 2025. Financial accounts for the year ending 30 June 2025 show the business employed 5 people. The allotment for this capital was processed in July 2026.
