Londonderry-based Respiratory Analytics raises £299.9k for AI smart inhaler platform

Individuals managing asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis are the focus of a digital health software platform developed by Respiratory Analytics Ltd. The Londonderry-based company has secured an estimated £299.9k in its latest funding round, contributing to a total of £715.1k raised during 2026.

The startup's core product, aflo™, utilizes AI and sensor technology to create a smart inhaler system. The technology provides real-time feedback on inhalation technique through a capture device and a mobile application. By aggregating information with environmental factors like air quality and viral trends, the tool identifies symptom worsening and alerts patients to potential exacerbation risks.

Founded in 2019, the business also provides a clinician portal and analytics tools to help medical professionals monitor patient progress. It reported a headcount of four employees in its most recent accounts for the year ended 30 June 2024.

While the investors for this specific round were not named, the firm has previously been supported by capital from Innovate UK, Techstart NI, and CoFund. Documentation for the new share allotment was filed in September.
